The Cleveland Browns took the field late last night vs the Seattle Seahawks. If your an NFL fan watching football is great but you know this game meant nothing.

What concerned me more was the fact that Deshaun Watson was not going to play in this game. It now has been more than 300 days since Deshaun Watson has suited up for a game.

Reports say that his arm is sore. Other reports say that he has barley thrown in practice all month so how is it sore. I say the guy had a massage booked in downtown Seattle and that is why he didn’t want to play.

Enough is a enough with this guy. How does anyone in Cleveland, OH think that this season is going to go well with Deshaun Watson at the helm. Remember the last time this guy hadn’t played a football game in over 300 days? Yea, he came out and was absolutely awful for the 6 games he played.

Deshaun Watson is like a prospective employee who calls you up 5 minutes before an interview and says they are having car trouble. There is always something wrong with this guy. If women were not already turned off by his past, him complaining about a sore arm would surely be a red flag.

DTR needs to be, should be the Cleveland Browns QB.

Seahawks 37 | Browns 33

Does anyone else think that the NFL scheduler has a personal vendetta against the Browns. Why are we the only team in the NFL who had to travel 3 times zones to play a game this week. Having to stay up for a 10pm preseason game is not great. Sorry, I am tired still.

Ok, the game…

The Cleveland Browns did not look great in the 1st quarter. Jameis Winston was the starting QB with Deshaun Watson sitting this one out. Winston went 6/9 for 63 yards. Listen, this guy is not good. I know those are good numbers for a couple of drives but he should have never had the opportunity to put those numbers up. He literally hit a defensive back in the chest for an easy INT but it was dropped.

The Browns on their second drive had a chance to take 3 points, but as always Kevin Stefanski decided that he did not want points. Ok, I get it. It’s preseason I mean if you want to try some things out on 4th down and keep some of these drives going on offense so you can evaluate the players more fine. Calling a fade route, the exact same route that was called with Brissett a couple years ago in a critical situation, is absolutely ridiculous.

What are we doing with these 4th down fade routes. First, the fade route is the worst call in the NFL and one that works like 2% of the time. Secondly, you practice plays all week and that is what you are going to call. C’mon man.

Regardless of the play call in the 1st quarter our defense did not help matters allowing Geno Smith to orchestrate a 62-yard drive quite easily. Smith went 4/5 and hooked up with DK Metcalf for the TD.

With Deshaun Waston not suiting up for this game we saw DTR come in for Winston in the start of the 2nd quarter. DTR who has been phenomenal preseason came in and continued to show us why he should be the backup, if not the starter.

In his first two drives he lead the Browns to 10 points. Highlighted by a 46-yard bomb to Jamari Thrash which occurred one play after after the Seahawks were called for a taunting penalty keeping the Browns drive alive.

The defense is where most of our problems could be found in particularly big plays. The Seahawks had a 56-yard TD reception, a 73-yard TD get called back for a hold and a 21-yard TB pass. I know our starters where not in the game for most if not all those plays, but, don’t have faith on our backups for sure.

Seahawks took a 24-13 lead into halftime.

Tyler Huntley took over in the 2nd half and you have to think was auditioning his skills for a new team after final roster cuts. With 5:35 left in the quarter he lead a short drive for a TD to Proche to cut the Seahawks lead to just 7 points.

Our defense in the third quarter stayed constant letting former Browns player PJ Walker go down the field and score rather easily to extend the lead back to 34-20 as the quarter came to an end.

The forth quarter began with a bang for the Browns as Tyler Huntley took them down the field and connected with Jaelon Darden. Kevin Stefanski decided to go for two, because thats what he does. Why, you tell me. Anyways, Huntley doesn’t even get a throw off on the 2-point conversion and the Browns trailed 34-26 with 13-minutes to go.

Other than a meaningless FG by the Seahawks and a last second TD by the Browns that meant nothing as time expired this game ended quickly and put the Browns out of their 0-3 preseason misery.

Hard to take away anything from this game. Deshaun Watson will be the Starting QB, Winston will be his backup and they will most likely be keeping DTR and moving Tyler Huntley.

We are two weeks away from NFL Week 1 and I have absolutly no confidence that we will win vs the Dallas Cowboys.

Day #25 of Sportsbetting

Today’s Starting Bankroll: $1,857.76

(Yesterday’s Bets) 👇

$200 ➡️ $200K Challenge Bet: Jose Ramierez Over .5 RBI’s

  • I finally got off the slide of our challenge bets losing. The Guardians showed up and dropped a bakers dozen on the Rangers last night with a 13-3 win. Jose almost did not hit this mark, but he hit a solo HR in the 6th inning to finally get us over that hump…at least for today.

Cheltenham Town vs AFC Wimbledon Over 2.5

  • This was a disappointing loss. AFC absolutely dominated the first half but was unable to nick a goal and then Cheltenham dominated the 2nd half and was unable to net a goal. In the end AFC put one in to win 1-0 but I think I was on the right side of this bet, just not today.

Lens vs Stade Brest Over 2.5

  • This match takes place at 9AM EST today, I did not realize this. I stuck with the bet though because I do like it. We will add this into today’s total.

Montana State vs New Mexico Over 54.5

  • If you missed watching this game, then you missed what might be the best game of the entire College Football season. New Mexico who was a double digit underdog to a FCS team pounced out to a 17-0 lead and at that point it looked like the Over was going to be a great bet. At the end of the 3rd quarter they had a 31-14 lead. I still needed 10 points and Montana State was moving the ball, in fact they out gained New Mexico by more than 200 yards. After a TD by Montana St. we just needed a FG to hit the over. With 6 minutes left New Mexico missed a FG and we now had to sweat the game. Not for long…Montana St. hit a 93-yard TD run with 4:35 left and we cashed our Over. Montana St. went on to stun New Mexico scoring a TD with 10 second left and winning the game.

Parlay of the Day: 2+ RBI’s

  • Ernie Clement: 0-4, 0 RBI’s
  • Alex Bregman: 1-4, O RBI’s
  • Sal Frelick: DNP

Day #24 Profit/Loss: – $0.84

What I Learned:

College Football Is Nuts: How great was it to go 1-0 on the College Football season? Felt great! But, get ready for a few months and a lot of blogs of being upset. This day had #10 FSU lose in Ireland, Montana St. have an epic 4th quarter comeback and Nevada lead SMU a 36 point favorite at the half. This was on a week where there were only like 4 games. Just wait till Week 1.
